A letter will be going out to members shortly telling them about our next event on Thursday 27 June at the Town Hall in St Annes.

Open only to members and invited guests, the afternoon will include celebrating the conservation of Hebe and Amphritite, the two most beautiful marble statues which dominate the original entrance hall of the Town Hall building.

The cost of this conservation work was £6,700, of which the Friends managed to secure £2,700 of funding from the Aurelius Trust. The balance will be money from fund-raising efforts and Friends savings.

The Friends will also celebrate the fact that Sarah Kellam, the great great grand-daughter of Richard Ansdell, will be present and will talk to us after making a special presentation.
