Day Trip to Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley & Cartwright Hall, Shipley on 8 May

Our most recent coach trip proved to be a most fascinating and informative day out. Chris Cockburn, our trips manager, again showed what a brilliant organiser she is by choosing two very interesting places to visit.

In spite of inclement weather, 46 members and friends thoroughly enjoyed the two venues.

The first port of call was Cliffe Castle where there was so much to enjoy that most of us were determined we would return! There was beautiful furniture, paintings, stained glass, pottery and textiles etc in the most sumptuous settings.

Then we were delighted in seeing at Cartwright Hall, our second venue, a collection of work by David Hockney which had been installed in 2017 to celebrate his 80th Birthday.

A pleasant stop at a lovely pub en route home completed the day with a warm welcome and tea and coffee.
