This lovely watercolour ‘Lady Sketching’ is attributed to Patience Arnold (1901-1992).

She achieved national recognition for her illustrations of nursery rhymes, fairy stories and botanical studies.

Born in Yorkshire she spent her childhood in Lytham St. Annes where she was later to become President of the Lytham St. Annes Art Society. The painting was donated by Eric Brian Porter in 1945.
