This lovely watercolour ’A Country Track in the Moonlight’ was painted by landscape artist, Percy Brooke (1869-1916).
Born in Blackburn to a prosperous iron monger he studied at the National Art Training School in Kensington.
Many of his watercolours were exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Institute, the Walker Gsllery and other leading institutes.
This one was donated in 1938 by Mrs Jane E. Perez (1871 – 1943). She also donated ‘ Beach Scene, Morecambe’ but unfortunately it is missing from the Collection.
