The Collection also contains statues and figurines.

This lovely Italian vari-coloured marble of a courting couple, Orpheus and Eurydice, was sculpted around 1910 by Ferdinando Vichyi, 1875-1941. Some sources say he died in 1945.

Born in Florence, he was one of the leading Tuscan sculptors of his day producing works of art including busts and tombstones. It is believed the female figure was modelled by his wife, Argia Marinari.

The marble was presented by Councillor and Mrs Kenyon. Councillor Ernest Kenyon was Mayor of Lytham St Annes 1950-1951.
